Qualification and experience:

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the pakistan medical commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or diplomat of american board in the respective specialty or equivalent medical qualification in the respective specialty from an institute or university recognized by the pakistan medical commission. if none is available with above qualifications then

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the pakistan medical commission and FCPS or MS or FRCS or MRCP or MD or Diplomat of american board (General surgery of medicine, whichever is relevant to the respective specialty) or equivalent medical qualification from an institute or university recognized by the pakistan medical commission with three years post-Graducation practical experience in the respective specialty from an recognized institute.

Five years teaching experience in the specialty in a recognized institution as Assistant professor or equivalent position recognized by PMC with at least 3 research papers published in a standard medical journal while working as assistant professor. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the pakistan medical commission and the following postgraduate qualifications in the subject:

D.SC, Ph.D,FCPS & M.Phil(Pak) or equivalent qualifications recognized by the PMC. credit will be given for original research work published in a standard medical journal and teaching experience in recognized instition. Five years teaching experience in the specialty in a recognized instition as assistant professor or equivalent position recognized by PMC with at least three research papers published in a standard medical journal while working as assistant professor.
