Qualification and experience:

MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission with postgraduate qualification of FCPS or MS or FRCS or Diplomat American Board or equivalent qualification in Paediatric Cardiac or Paediatric Cardiovascular or Congenital Cardiac Surgery recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission. If none is available with the above mentioned qualifications then: MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission with postgraduate qualification of FCPS or MS or FRCS or Diplomat of American Board or equivalent qualification recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission in: a) Cardiac or Cardiothoracic or Cardiovascular Surgery with four years' experience, after post-graduation in Paediatric Cardiac Surgery or Paediatric Cardiovascular Surgery from an institution recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission; or b) Paediatric Surgery or General Surgery with six years' experience, after post-graduation, in the Paediatric Cardiac Surgery or Paediatric Cardiovascular Surgery from an institution recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission; and ii) Five years' teaching experience as Assistant Professor Paediatric Cardiac Surgery/Paediatric Cardiovascular Surgery from an institution recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council/Pakistan Medical Commission; and iii) Three research publications in the relevant Peadiatric Surgery specialty as Assistant Professor.
