Qualification and experience:

• B.Sc(hons). in Environmental Sciences/Environmental Engineering/Civil Engineering with MS in Environmental Sciences from a University recognized by Higher Education Commission with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Solid knowledge or experience of World Bank safeguard standards on Environmental and Social management will be preferred

Job Responsibilities

• Assessing, analyzing and collating environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, clients and regulatory bodies
• Ensure preparation and approval of EIA/IEE from the designated government
• Conduct monitoring and reporting on the environmental and social performance of the project against the Environment and social safeguard
• Conduct an environmental assessment of the proposed project, including stakeholder
• Undertake stakeholder engagement and disclose appropriate information
• Will ensure that the environmental assessment is done in an appropriate manner including the country’s applicable policy framework, national laws and regulations, and institutional capabilities the country’s applicable policy framework, national laws and regulations, and institutional
• Will conduct Environmental and Social Audit, Regional ESIA, Sectoral ESIA, Strategic Environment Assessment, and Hazard or Risk assessment
• Have expertise in economic climate change impact assessments and provide advice on the effective use and management of different climate financing
• Prepare Bi-Annual Report according to Environment social safeguard standard of AFD.
