Location _________ Karachi Job Description _________________ Job Requirement The Media & Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator will work closely with the Communications Manager, to manage media engagement and create greater buy-in and widespread voluntary adoption among various stakeholders. Employ an integrated communications approach to unify marketing communication elements, such as media and public relations, audience analytics, stakeholder engagement, business development principles, and promotion to establish strong working relationships and ensure mass adoption of the services provided through PSW. Responsibilities Build strong relationships and networks with the media, relevant stakeholders, traders, and the public. Prepare employees for media appearances and interviews. Organize PR events, seminars, stakeholder engagement sessions, PR strategies, and engagement campaigns including the preparation of press releases, keynote speeches, and promotional material Development and successful delivery of media and stakeholder engagement plans in accordance with the overarching Communications Policy. Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites, and blogs, for opportunities for PSW. Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media. Coordinate all public relations activities Help clarify PSW’s point of view to its main audience through media press releases, articles, op-eds, arranging media interviews, preparing communications to stakeholders, and responding to stakeholder inquiries. Manage stakeholder mapping and prepare communications for workshops, events, and seminars including developing agendas, project plans, minute taking, and production of reports Support the development and successful implementation of communications and stakeholder engagement plans, including detailed tactical delivery plans Develop strong relationships with national and international media to ensure the PSW’s reputation is promoted and to manage risk. Monitor social, economic, and political trends that might affect the organization and recommend ways to enhance the PSW's image on the basis of trends Research, populate and manage a database of event and speaking opportunities and prepare recommendations for project team members accordingly. Prepare agendas and briefings and produce minutes of meetings ensuring all information is properly recorded on the database Work collaboratively with other members of the Communications team, liaising with other PSW teams and management. Support reporting, evaluation, and analysis, including maintenance of a database, under the supervision of the Communications Manager. Qualifications BA/MA degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, managing, and implementing activities to promote civil society, and engage partners in development projects or marketing development assistance. Proven track record designing and executing successful PR and stakeholder engagement campaigns at both a local and national level Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews Exceptional communications and presentation skills with the ability to write, speak and edit in English and Urdu Strong knowledge of, and experience with organizational development of civil society organizations in challenging environments, and ability to inform content, materials development, and methodology of organizational development activities. Ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate with others and navigate politically sensitive subjects and contexts and maintain constructive relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
